They will spend hours perfecting their pitch deck but skip events that could actually open doors to funding or partnerships. And I get it, small talk can feel draining when your comfort zone is deep work, not constant conversation. But in the startup world, relationships move faster than resumes. Connections can often take you further than capital.
If you are introverted, you don’t have to change who you are to network well. You just need a different approach. Start with smaller, meaningful settings- coffee catch-ups, one-on-one calls, or startup circles where you can listen and engage thoughtfully.
